<p>Certificates have different purposes. For example, they ensure that you can send and receive information securely. They also allow you to confirm your identity and authorisation online.</p>

<h2>KVK API certificate</h2><p>The KVK APIs use a public certificate. The public certificate is automatically trusted in most cases.
